Part of me is glad that a revolution has taken place, and of that a semi-peaceful one.
Another half of me is quite disappointed. Disappointed in the fact that Mubarak didn't try to fight for his right to hold his long standing power. That guy should have seriously read "The Prince" by Nicolò Machiavelli.
If you're someone who thinks 30 years is long enough then why wasn't 15 or 20? Were the people not strong enough or too dumb to realize that he was still there?
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants... God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion; what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms." -Thomas Jefferson
Thirty years is a bit late guys... Someone should have took the old hammer to his and his regime's head long ago. Either through stronger opposition and voting, the democratic way or even a more forceful way, which would have been a bad idea, but it would have got the job done.
Whatever, Congrats Egypt for pulling through, now build more pyramids so we've got something to look at.
