Limewire

Limew
ire the file sharing website has been forced to shut down. The injunction, ordered by a Federal Judge named Kimba M. Wood, states that  Limewire “intentionally encouraged direct infringement” by its users, and that they failed to implement any “meaningful technological barriers or design choices aimed at diminishing infringement.” The court even said that LimeWire’s business model depended mostly on mass infringement, and relied on its “massive user population generated by Limewire's infringement enabling features.”

Funny thing is that "
Limewire's infringement enabling feature's" is basically using the internet. With all this being said you've got to look at the FULL picture. Is peer to peer file-sharing legal? Of course! and it should always be. It's like me buying a CD. Then putting it on my Itunes to put on my Ipod, then giving the CD to my friends to do the same. It's the same difference.

I did a little research and I found out the the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA),who represented the companies who was suing Limewire, is getting a new bill passed through the senate for more funding, as in money for the US Government, to stop rogue sites from popping up.
Why do they need more funding for stuff like that? So greedy millionaire record labels and artists can get more money? Honestly, we need new healthcare, we need proper funding for education and we need more funding for things like nursing homes! It's ridiculous!

All I'm going to say is that they are lucky I'm not a millionaire, and that I don't live in Sweden! Ugh that's all. I'm just seriously mad that they closed down Limewire.
Well since I'm free to give out information, if you were a Limewire user such as myself then you can switch over to Frostwire or even BitTorrent some stuff from places like Pirate Bay :D Stick it to the man!
